Prof. Ahmed Ali Al-Atrash is an Academic and Researcher in Politics & International Relations (Libya). He obtained his Ph.D. in International Relations, University of Kent, UK; M.A. in International Affairs, Ohio University, USA; and B.A. in Political Science, Mohammed V University, Morocco.

Prof. Al-Atrash has published several books (as an author & co-ed) and articles (in English & Arabic languages). He is a member of various prominent NGOs and research centers; and participated and presented papers at a great number of worldwide media programs and intellectual conferences.

His academic concerns research interest focuses on peace and security, sub-regional, regional, and international organizations, international diplomacy (formal and informal), democratization, migration; as well as,, inter-Arab & inter-African relations; especially in the Maghreb region.

  • Consultant, National Security Council, the Libyan Government (4/2009-12/7/2009).
